Your screen-time report is not a report. It is a witness statement. It be sitting there like, “Your Honor, they were scrolling at 1:42 AM.” What app be snitching on you the most?

Christianity taught us that once Jesus came, everybody could receive the promises God made to a particular people—even if God never said He changed the people receiving them.

That teaching is worse than it sounds.

If the Bible says a people were enslaved, scattered, oppressed, and carried into captivity, then promises that they would be remembered, redeemed, gathered, and restored belong to those same people.

Otherwise, the ex-slave remains a permanent ex-slave.

The scattered remain permanently scattered.

The people named in the suffering never receive the promises God made concerning their suffering. Somebody else steps into the happy ending while they remain trapped in the painful part of the story.

Nehemiah 9:2 (KJV)
