Ecclesiasticus 2:1 – “My son, if thou come to serve the Lord, prepare thy soul for temptation.”
When you truly decide to serve the Lord, the Bible warns us to get ready — temptation is coming. This isn’t God being harsh; it’s God showing mercy by giving us intelligence ahead of time. He’s saying: “Be prepared, because the enemy of your soul is going to come after you.”
The devil’s goal isn’t always to make you fall into something big — sometimes it’s just to get you to take one small step back. One old habit. One compromise. But the Word of God tells us to set our hearts right, endure constantly, and never give up. Holiness isn’t temporary; it’s a lifestyle.
When trials hit, don’t rush, don’t panic. Pray. Seek counsel. Cleave to the Lord. Spend time with Him daily. That’s how you endure. Like gold tried in the fire, your faith is being refined — and those who endure will be accepted as pure.
The old saints trusted God and were never forsaken. Neither will you. His reward will not fail.

This will allow your conscience to focus on the goodness of the Lord so that you don't become double-minded and your ways don't become unstable. It will also gi…
