Reparations would be an insult

Updated: May 2, 2024

Reparations is an insult unless it includes the same exact benefit to the slave as the slave owner.

The system in place could not have been started or sustained without the history that pains some and benefits others.

What if everyone that benefited from slave labor included the slaves? For that to be the case, there would never be a slave.

The free man enjoys freedom. The luxuries of that freedom came from the pain of those without freedom. How can there be a system that benefits both?

Can the slave enjoy the benefits of freedom? Should the free people experience the same as the slave? Does reparations absolve the free from the benefits they've enjoyed, or the slave from the pain they suffered?

What is the value of their suffering? The value of the slaves suffering during slavery benefits a people now, as well as then. So if free people enjoyed the benefit of freedom then and now. The slave should enjoy the same benefit even now.

Since you can't change then, do you think you can change then, now?

You can't. People died as a slave never experiencing any benefit of freedom.

The rape and torture, the murdering and disrespect, the abuse and mental PTSD have been passed down to survivors today. It is similar to the wealth gained from slave work that they passed down to their beneficiaries today.

If a people enjoyed the luxury of wealth and freedom for 500 years, shouldn't the opposite people enjoy the same? If the slave descendants should enjoy the same wealth and freedom, should they also enjoy all that the slave owners enjoyed. Shouldn't the slave enjoy having a slave too?

why get my hopes up that ppl who think im a 1/4person gonna give me what im owed if they can't even pay me a full dollar to my male counterparts, let alone white males? the best way, in my opinion, is to simply ✨ disappear ✨ off this land. maybe drown? idk.. but if they are gone and those who sympathize with them, we can govern ourselves.

Words can't express the impact of what was and is being done to my people. We're in a land that is not for us. God's vengeance is set, and there is no man who can stand against His judgment. A self-righteous person would say God's judgment is unfair and uncaused for. A child of God would say Amen to his judgment.

Replying to

I understand where you're coming from. How do we define the word "owe"? Another word for owe is repay. They need to repay me for all that was taken, including free labor. I want the money, flock, land (more than 40 acres), free labor, pain & suffering from being forced from my home and culture and all the profane things done. That will never happen, which is why Jesus said vengeance is mine. God has their judges set and includes them being our slave. I'm so glad I don't have to set judgment for others and make sure it happens....that is a very hard task.
