Jesus asked in Matthew 16:15 who does man say that I am?
Who cares?
We are taught not to care what people think of us right? But it's natural. Or is it?
God requires worship, and only he should be worshiped.
So if people know he is God, they owe him worship. That’s the reason he asked this question.
If people know who you are or how you look or what you can do, what difference does it really make? If someone thinks you are great, so what?
If someone thinks you are not, so what?
Who do you say Jesus is? That's all that matters. If Jesus is your God, please him and no one else.
Don't make any effort to make anyone so important that their thoughts of you could ever matter.
Don’t devote your attention to the approval of anyone. That is considered worship and only God deserves your worship.
Matthew 16:15
“He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?”
