If your pastor doesn't warn you of sin who will?

How should you respond to his rebuke?

Within the duties of a Pastor is the job to prepare those under his leadership for the return of our messiah. The Lord promises to return as a Lion and without mercy.

Every real Pastor has an urgency to prepare the flock using the word of God and any and all resources available to be able to say to the Lord I have done the best I can to bring you a worshiper.

2 Timothy 4:2

“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”

How do you respond to the rebuke, or correction of your Pastor. Years ago Saints would simply confess, Apologize and repent. Living in a world where people don't want to be governed or aren't humbled under a spiritual leader

Ephesians 4:11

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;”

Ephesians 4:12

“For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:”

God has given us tools to perfect the Saints. He has also given sharp prophesies to corral the habits and behavior of pastors

Jeremiah 23:2

“Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.”

Let us respect the tremendous responsibility of a Pastor and allow him to do the Job the HolyGhost has appointed him over our lives. We want him to do it with gladness and without constraint.

Acts 20:28

“Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.”

When your pastor warns you of sin, take heed, he's not just saving your soul, he's delivering his soul as well.
