When ‘Later’ Becomes a Lie

“I’ll do it later.” That’s how most unfinished callings begin. Procrastination can feel innocent like a moment of rest, a small delay, but it steals more from us than we notice. It’s not just lost time; it’s lost progress, lost confidence, and sometimes lost purpose.
Ecclesiastes 11:4 “He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.”

Sometimes we wait for the perfect moment, but the truth is there isn’t one. When God gives instruction, obedience is time-sensitive. Waiting too long becomes disobedience in slow motion. If you’ve been stuck in cycles of “I’ll do it after…,” it’s time to replace that phrase with “I’ll start now.” Even one small act of obedience breaks the pattern.
1 Corinthians 10:31 “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”

You don’t need to feel motivated to move, you just need to move until motivation catches up. The Spirit works with motion, not hesitation.
Let this be the week you start.
What’s one thing you’ve been putting off that God told you to do?

Procrastination hits all of us.
